Provided by a practising BC lawyer. BC lawyers are also notaries public.
A copy checked against the original and certified as a true copy, where the recipient accepts this format.
Bring the original and the recipient’s instructions.
Written evidence sworn or affirmed before a lawyer. Commonly used in court proceedings and formal applications.
Bring the document and any exhibits. Wait to sign at the appointment.
A formal declaration that stated facts are true, for applications and other administrative purposes.
Bring the required form and instructions; sign before the lawyer.
Declarations or witnessed signatures requested by a government office or pension provider.
Send the form ahead so its particular requirements can be checked.
Witnessing your signature where a document calls for a lawyer or notary.
Bring the unsigned document and the recipient’s instructions.
Witnessing a parent’s or guardian’s consent for a child travelling abroad without them. Canada recommends having the letter witnessed by a notary.
Bring the proposed letter and travel details.
Assistance with signing a power of attorney. The wording, your understanding, and the applicable witnessing requirements need review.

Notarization for overseas use. The receiving country or organization may also require government authentication or an apostille.

What we collect and why
When you submit an inquiry, Westmere Law receives your name, email address, brief message, and any selected service interest. We use these details to assess whether we can assist and to respond to you. Please provide only a general overview, without confidential documents or sensitive details. The form is optional; you can call us instead.
Hosting, security, and email
Cloudflare hosts this website and processes the form submission. Cloudflare Turnstile checks for automated abuse using technical signals such as your IP address, browser information, and the site visited. IP addresses also help limit repeated submissions. Microsoft 365 delivers and stores inquiry correspondence in our business mailbox. These providers may process information outside Canada, where different laws may apply.

Tracking and external sites
We do not add advertising trackers or website analytics. Cloudflare’s security services may use cookies or similar technologies as described in its notices. Reading links and map directions take you to independent websites with their own privacy practices.

The website does not maintain a separate inquiry database. Correspondence is retained in our business email system, subject to applicable legal and professional requirements. Contact us for information about retention of your inquiry.
